The source of his work, the source of his inspiration, is to be found in letters. Based on classical calligraphy, moiz develops its own form of expression, which incorporates signs, writing and ornamentation and approaches the “interface” of these elements. His style is focused, minimalist, strict and at the same time playful.
His works often show reduced-color clear geometric shapes or ornamental calligraphic patterns. They are reminiscent of Arabic characters and writings. They have no concrete meaning, no definite statement. They are carried by fantasy and stimulate imagination. The observers of his pictures give them their personal interpretation, depending on their own experience, composition and mood.
Moiz, born in 1997, lives and works in Vienna. He is currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. His studies focus on public art and graphics and graphic arts techniques.
