We did not forget about the rabbit.
In a world held together by borders, we seek comfort in what we know. Comfort is also sought through surveillance, an instability masked as stability, a sense of ease manufactured by control. We live with the luxury of forgetting; it is a safety mechanism. We live with the comfort of dropping them, leaving them behind, while the cameras quietly record it all.
Memories stacked in neat piles, seemingly abandoned, quietly waiting to be found again.
We’d rather seek closeness anywhere but here.
We may forget who we are and what we long for, but they cannot. Not the structured grid.

hallohilfe and Johannes Hartman construct a spatial conversation:
from above to the ground, from watching to forgetting.
They ask us to consider how well we fit in this world, and how well this world forgets us, can forget us.
Can we truly forget
within a system of continuous surveillance and permanent memory?
