Boris Anje Tabufor was born in Bamenda, Cameroon, in 1993. After his GCE AL in 2012, he passed the entrance exam at the Institute of Fine Arts Foumban (IFAF). During his studies, he attended the workshops of some local artists and the contemporary art center Les Ateliers Sahm in Brazzaville, where he meets the sapeurs. In 2015, he obtained a professional degree in drawing and painting, where he also completed his master’s degree in drawing and painting in 2018. Some of his works are in important collections such as the Permanent Collection of the World Bank in Washington, D.C., and also in the collections of some collectors around the world. He lives and works in Douala.
He has participated in prestigious exhibitions. For example, in the famous Zeitz-Mocca exhibition “When We See us” in Cape Town 2022/23. He is listed in almost every art book that has been published on contemporary African art in recent years.
